Houston rapper, Chamillionaire refuses to go down in history as a one hit wonder. In 2005, he released his debut album and the album nearly became a flop. But, Universal Records gave him one more chance when they released "Ridin'" off The Sound of Revenge. The song quickly became the biggest hit of 2006.

Chamillionaire was soon the biggest new artist on the planet. He won several awards for his music. Due to his popularity, Universal Records tried to make him record another album. The goal was for the album to be release before the end of 2006. But, Chamillionaire turned them down, as he wanted to let his creative juices flow.

In 2007, he released Ultimate Victory, a sharp turn in his style and the fans rejected him. Chamillionaire was forgotten before the end of the year and Universal Records stopped promoting him. They agreed to allow Chamillionaire to record his next album, Venom. But, Universal delayed his album for nearly three years and Cham soon decided to leave the label.

After many false starts, Chamillionaire has decided to take matters into his own hands in 2011. Chamillionaire announced he will release multiple mixtapes here in the next few months. Sometime this spring or this summer, Chamillionaire will definitely release his long-awaited third album, putting his career back on track without anyone's help but his own.
