With Dr. Dre preparing the release of Detox, many have been talking about the famed rapper/producer. Throughout his career, Dr. Dre has been viewed as an intimidating force. He began his professional career with NWA and Ruthless Records before launching the most dangerous record label in history, Death Row Records.
In his later years, Dr. Dre created Aftermath Entertainment and has made less-aggressive music. It has been during the Aftermath years that people have started to respect his legacy. The only controversy that came on Aftermath was with Ja Rule. But, the two have managed to settle their differences.
DJ Khalil has had the chance to work closely with Dr. Dre. He knows him on a personal level. Still, there are some people who fear Dre, but DJ Khalil says people have nothing to worry about. He said Dr. Dre is the most humble person he has ever met, even with his legacy.
While Dr. Dre is very confident, DJ Khalil says he is not cocky. Just because he has made major accomplishments, Dr. Dre is still open to new ideas. Khalil said he once visited Dr. Dre and saw him performing classical music on a piano. He went on to say, Dr. Dre may be a gangsta rap pioneer, but he is a fan of music first and foremost.
