When Chamillionaire began promoting his second album, he made it clear he had changed his ways. Rap was being heavily criticized for the offensive lyrics. Russell Simmons and other leaders pleaded for rappers to clean up their lyrics. Because of this, a major debate ensued with 50 Cent in the forefront.

50 Cent blasted those who wanted to censor hip hop. He said until they take over his record label, he would continue to curse. At the time, 50 Cent was working on his Curtis album. The G-Unit boss was expecting another album to sell over 5 million copies. However, 50's popularity was waning.

Meanwhile, Chamillionaire was still riding his wave from 2006 and promoting his second album. After touring in promotion of his album and hearing fans recite his lyrics, Cham decided to change. This change came right when the hip hop critics began talking. In the eyes of many, it seemed as if Chamillionaire had given in.

When 50 Cent discovered what Chamillionaire had done, he dissed him. 50 Cent went as far as to call Cham a gospel singer. It appeared as if the two rappers were feuding when Chamillionaire said he could care less what 50 Cent had to say. The disses came only months after Chamillionaire had announced he spent time with 50 Cent while he was in New York. Nearly four years after their beef, Cham has cleared things up. He said 50 was making a simple statement and his words were taken out of context.

Chamillionaire said he has visited the G-Unit offices and has met 50 Cent's son.
