When he came into the game, Paul Wall promised he would not let the money change him. Nearly six years in the game, he allowed the money to do just that. But, Wall says if he had not, he might not be alive right now.
Paul Wall was always one of the chubbier rappers in the game, but he put on weight during his time off. The Houston rapper gained weight while he was on tour. VH1's "Celebrity Fit Club" contacted him after his show in Afghanistan.
It was then that Paul Wall took a look at himself and realized he had to get better. He knew his size was not a secret, but when he went to the doctor, he discovered he was morbidly obese. Still, he turned down the show, but decided to get better.
In an effort to quickly drop the weight, Paul Wall decided to undergo gastric sleeve surgery. After the procedure, he has lost 120 pounds. Wall now says he feels as if he has completely regained his life and feels more alive than ever before. When he gets on stage now, he has energy instead of feeling as if he could collapse at any moment. Paul Wall now has a new lease on life.
