Two years ago, the formation of Slaughterhouse shocked many hip hop fans. Fans were more shocked when Eminem revealed he was going to sign the group to Shady Records. The deal would place Joe Budden on the same label as 50 Cent.
While Slaughterhouse was going to sign with Shady, it was unclear when. In order to give something to the fans, the group independently released their debut album. Recently, Eminem announced the group had officially signed with the label.
Currently, Slaughterhouse is working on putting together their Shady Records debut. After signing the group, Eminem told them to go ahead and begin recording their new album. But, with so many projects lined up for Shady Records this year, there is no telling when the Slaughterhouse album will actually be released. In order to keep the fans held over and to keep themselves sharp, Slaughterhouse is putting together an EP. The EP will be released in February.
