During the weekend, several reports stated Freddie Gibbs, a rapper from Gary, Indiana, had signed with Corporate Thugz Ent. The record label was established in 2001 by Young Jeezy. In 2005, Jeezy signed with Def Jam and Corporate Thugz became a subsidiary of the music group.
Freddie Gibbs recently opened up on his new life as an artist signed to both Corporate Thugz and Def Jam. He said it was easy to make the deal. Before making his own music, Freddie Gibbs was a fan of Jeezy and respected his hustle. Gibbs respects how Young Jeezy created his own lane in the game.
Now that he is signed to CTE, Freddie Gibbs said he has to continue elevating his game. Young Jeezy is known as one of the most energetic rappers in the game.
