Hip Hop Vibe interviewed Nicole Mitchell over the weekend and she talked about some of her upcoming ventures and new projects.
How long have you been modeling?
Off and on my whole life but consistently for about a year
When did you land your first modeling job?
Last year 2010 for a music video
Was there ever a time when you thought this was not for you?
Yes, just because of the stuff that comes along with the industry. But my hunger and the support from others won’t allow me to quit.
What inspires you to continue doing what you do each day?
My family, the people who support me and my hunger for success.
Do you have anyone mentoring you as you expand your career?
Not really.
Outside of modeling, what do you like to do?
I love to eat, shop, dance, sing, have spa days, watch movies, sleep, travel and more. I'm down for whatever for the most part. I just love having fun, smiling and laughing. So whatever includes those things, I’m in!
Have you ever considered acting?
Yes, I do actually. I haven’t landed any jobs yet nor have I pursued it. But it’s definitely something I want to do in the future.
Is any of your work available on any DVDs?
No not yet but I’m working on that now.
What is your relationship with Vandem P and Carolina Exposed DVD?
He was the one who recorded a video I played in as a love interest for a rap artist by the name of Dred.
Where do you see yourself one year from now?
Just being more involved in the industry, learning and growing more. While also developing more of a name for myself.
Are you in a better place now than where you were a year ago?
Yes I am.
Can readers expect to see you in any upcoming advertisements?
Yes they can actually. I'm working on some stuff now!
Is there anyone, in the public eye, who you look up to?I like Vanessa Veasley, Bria Myles and Buffy the Body. I like Vanessa because she appears to be very educated, open to helping other models and always on her grind. Bria is beautiful to me and she's definitely representing for the chocolate women! She definitely has natural beauty. I like her style and swag. Buffy is a hustler. She is doing more than modeling and I respect her hustle.
