Years of anticipitation are finally boling down to weeks. Dr. Dre has been working on Detox for over ten years and rumors of a release have been coming and going. Two years ago, a rumored version of Detox with T.I., Jay-Z, and Lil Wayne, was rumored, but it never came out.
Fans were growing impatient and were ready to give up on Dr. Dre following years of hits. Not wanting to let his fans down, Dre finally went in the studio and worked on the album. Earlier this year, he recorded "Under Pressure" with Jay-Z. The song was featured in one of his commercials.
But, as the fall season came, Dr. Dre came with his first official single, "Kush." The song features Snoop Dogg and Akon and a video was done for the song. With a music video completed, Dre knows he cannot let the fans down. Despite promising a 2010 release for the album, Dr. Dre had to push it back to make it perfect, now the album is expected sometime next month.
In an effort to put a move on things, Dr. Dre has flown to Detroit to record with his most-successful protege, Eminem. Currently, Eminem is in the studio trying to find a concept for his next album. While trying to figure out his next move, Em is helping Dr. Dre out with his final solo record. Because Dr. Dre will not be releasing any more albums, Eminem wants him to go out with a bang. Eminem will produce a number of the tracks on the album and will also have multiple cameo spots.
Detox will be released sometime early next year.
