50 Cent and Lil' Kim's relationship began in turmoil when they collaborated on "Magic Stick." The song was initially going to be featured on Get Rich or Die Tryin.' But, the song missed the deadline because Lil' Kim took too long recording her part of the song.

Released in the summer of 2003, "Magic Stick" was a major hit for Lil' Kim. A video for the song was supposed to take place, but 50 Cent gave Kim a taste of her own medicine. At the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, 50 Cent refused to perform the song with Lil' Kim.

Following these series of events, Lil' Kim began supporting the Murder Inc. camp. During this time, the feud going on between 50 Cent and Murder Inc. was very serious. Her change of sides helped to derail her career for a few years. In 2005, she sided with The Game in his feud with 50 Cent. Their feud hit a silent peak in 2007 and the duo shocked the world.

Only weeks after Lil' Kim had dissed 50 Cent, she jumped on a record for his T.O.S. album, called "Wanna Lick." The song was hailed as the new version of "Magic Stick," but 50 Cent did not want it to be an official single off the album. Experiencing fairly good air play, the song did wonders in repairing the relationship between the two rappers. But, for the most part, a collaboration between 50 Cent and Lil' Kim did not live up to expectations.

Feeling as if the third time is the charm, 50 Cent reached out to Lil' Kim for another collaboration, which he hopes will be a major radio and video hit for him.
