After taking four years off, Busta Rhymes felt 2006 would be the start of a new part of his career. He had plans of releasing a new album each year. But, with label-mates like Eminem and 50 Cent, it is hard trying to have enough attention to release so much material.

Being third fiddle was not good enough for Busta Rhymes, so he eventually left Aftermath/Interscope. The process took three years and he released Back on my BS in 2009. Despite some popular songs, the album did not do very well because it was rushed together.

Finally back in control of his career, Busta Rhymes decided he would release another album in 2009. But, he did not want to rush to put together another album, so he planned a 2010 release. However, a reunion with Reek da Villain pushed him back again.

Now, with the launch of Conglomerate Records and a new roster and Universal Records' support, things are back on track with Busta Rhymes. The rapper is putting together his next album, E.L.E. 2, and working hard in the studio to make sure this album is perfect. Initially, he said this would be his final album, but it appears as if Busta Rhymes has more left in the tank.
