During the early days of G.O.O.D. Music, Consequence was one of the major players. But, after Kanye West raised the profile of his label, bigger names have signed. Most recently, Pusha T signed with the label and is working on his new album.
Kanye West has often boasted about G.O.O.D. Music being a family, as opposed to being a record label. The newest member of the family has caused quite a rift over at G.O.O.D. Pusha T and Consequence have been exchanging barbs.
Consequence has accused Pusha T of stealing his lyrics for his new single, "My God." Last summer, Consequence recorded an unreleased song, "Last Supper." Upon hearing the song, Kanye West wanted Pusha T to record a verse for it.
Because of the changes at G.O.O.D. and the frequent delays of his album, Consequence has since left the label, but he gladly allowed Pusha T to record on his song. He also mentioned he knew Pusha T long before he knew Kanye West, so there was a mutual trust. But, after leaving the label, Pusha T recorded "My God" and borrowed Consequence's lyrics.
Last week, Cons called him out over it and Pusha T denied stealing the lyrics from him. Pusha T instead said the two have been recording together and hanging out. The way Consequence feels, it is highly unlikely that he would like to hang out with Pusha T.
