Last year, J-Kwon was at the center of several headlines after he was reported missing. At the time, J-Kwon was recording a new album and his label wanted to have a meeting with him. But, when it was time for the meeting, J-Kwon was nowhere to be found.
Weeks later, J-Kwon returned as if nothing had happened. The stress of the hip hop game had gotten to him. Because of the stress, he took some time off. J-Kwon was vacationing while there was an actual search for him.
One year later, J-Kwon is speaking again and the story has changed a little bit. The Hood Hop star said he was not missing, instead he was in jail because of child support issues. J-Kwon said a girl came to him after he first got signed and said she was pregnant.
Ever since 2004, J-Kwon had been making child support payments for the child. Along the way, he purchased a house for her and who he thought was his child. While he was paying $2,500 a month for his child, the woman was setting him up. She told the courts J-Kwon was behind on his payments and he was arrested and taken into custody for a year.
Upon getting out of jail, J-Kwon had a paternity test done and discovered the child was not his. Instead of being upset about the situation, J-Kwon said he would let it go. After spending a year behind bars, the rapper is just happy to have his life back.
