Believe it or not, YouTube is no longer the new internet sensation. Now, it is one of the oldest social networking sites on the internet still active. Over the years, YouTube has been known for the copyrighted music videos. In 2009, VEVO was launched and has since been posting legal videos on YouTube.
Every artist who has been relevant at one time in their career, or another, has a VEVO. Eminem was staging his comeback around the time the site launched. Because of this, Em was one of the first artists to have a VEVO channel. This comes in addition to his videos posted by Universal Music.
For six years, Eminem's videos have been posted and shared on the internet. Now, Eminem has reached yet another milestone in his career. The Detroit emcee is the first rapper in history to land one billion overall hits on YouTube. He is the second overall artist, but Eminem is the first rapper to ever make this accomplishment.
