Two years ago, Game was expected to release The R.E.D. Album and begin focusing on adding talent to his label. Following the release of the successful, L.A.X., Game had finally faced reality. He was prepared to move on with his career without mentioning Dr. Dre.

Initially, Game planned to release the album in December 2009, when he received the shock of his life. Snoop Dogg had been working with Dr. Dre on Detox when he realized one of the beats was perfect for Game. Snoop later invited Game to their session.

Being in the same room for the first time in four years led to Dr. Dre embracing Game again. He decided to take over his album and release it through Aftermath Entertainment. But, The R.E.D. Album has suffered multiple delays since then.

Slowly approaching the two year mark and Game has become an afterthought in the hip hop world. Game boasted of how his album would be a classic whenever it was released. But, recently, he admitted if he waits too much longer to release it, no one will purchase it. Game has sensed his popularity is slowly dwindling even after the successful release of Purp & Patron.
