Juelz Santana unites New York on New Track

The past ten years of New York hip hop have been forgettable outside of Jay-Z. Ever since the turn of the century, the birthplace of hip hop has struggled to remain relevant. Following the epic feud of Nas and Jay-Z, artists such as 50 Cent have tried to make a career out of feuding. This formula has backfired and the popularity is not in New York.

Starting last fall, 50 Cent united many New York rappers for his first-annual This Is 50 Fest. Many other rappers have followed his lead. Unlike in the past few years, New York rappers are collaborating with each other. This is taking a page out of the playbook that made the South into what it is. Many rappers who had issues are now getting over them.

The G-Unit feud with Dipset was officially ended when Lloyd Banks collaborated with Juelz Santana for his new single, "Beamer, Benz, or Bentley." Now, for his upcoming mixtape, The Reagan Era, Juelz has returned the favor to Banks. He has a new song called "Take Me to NY" that features Jadakiss, Fabolous, and Lloyd Banks.
