Recently, Drake received some bad news when it was revealed that his long-awaited debut album, Thank Me Later, was pushed back. The news of the push-back came right after his release date was set for a release in May. Despite the hold-up on the album, his single, "Over," is becoming quite the hit.
News of the album delay has spread across the hip hop community and people have come to help Drake out. It probably does not matter when the album comes out. No matter what, the people are in love with Drake and his album is going to sell, regardless. Still, hip hop supercouple, Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys have come to his aid.
Swizz Beatz is considered by many as one of the top producers in the game. He has offered to produce some more tracks for Drake because he will have all of this time off. Meanwhile, Alicia Keys has pushed her single with Drake up to help his promotional. Her next single was set to feature Beyonce, but she swapped songs to help Drake out.
Drake will release Thank Me Later on June 15, 2010 on Young Money and Universal Motown. The album was pushed back from a May 22 release date.
