Recently, 50 Cent has taken G-Unit Records away from Interscope in order to find another channel of distribution. Initially, 50 Cent said that he would find a distributing label before the albums came out. With the albums set to come out shortly, he needs a distributing label.
Ever since the beginning, 50 Cent said that he would likely find an exclusive distribution deal with an independent label. But, the G-Unit brand is still a profitable machine. There are plenty of major record labels that are willing to sign 50 Cent and G-Unit.
Because of the fact that he knows how to negotiate, 50 Cent would actually fare better with a major record label. Following the loss of Diddy and his Bad Boy machine, Atlantic Records needs a new major label. Since Diddy moved to Interscope after 50 Cent made plans to leave, 50 Cent may move over to Atlantic Records.
There is a possible match made in heaven between 50 Cent, G-Unit, and Atlantic Records.
