Jadakiss talks The L.O.X. and Bad Boy Records

Ever since they were rapping on street corners in Yonkers, Jadakiss has been the leader of The L.O.X. His lyrical ability and minimal commercial appeal was the reason that Diddy decided to sign The L.O.X. to Bad Boy Records. But, after a dispute, Kiss and the rest of the group decided that they wanted to leave the label. When Diddy refused to let them out of their contract, a long feud followed.

In the time since 1998, there have been many false truces called between The L.O.X. and Diddy. Their feud was officially ended in 2007, when Diddy let them out of their contract. Two years later, Diddy decided to refocus on Bad Boy Records. Because he had been involved in many other projects, the roster of the label dwindled. Such rappers as Raekwon said that they would sign to the label.

However, Diddy said that he had been talking with Jadakiss and they had agreed to release the next album from The L.O.X. on Bad Boy Records. Initially, Styles P confirmed these rumors, but he later came back and said that the deal had not been closed. During the fall season, there was a lot of talk from Diddy about their new music and their return to Bad Boy. But, in the time since, he has shifted his focus to Rick Ross and Jadakiss has been holding talks with Swizz Beatz. Much like Diddy, Swizz is trying to reogranize all of his music projects. With that, he is trying to rebuild Ruff Ryders.

Because of his strong relationship with Swizz Beatz and Ruff Ryders, Jadakiss said that he was going to listen to and consider any offer that they put out there. Initially, the plan was to sign to Bad Boy, but with Swizz Beatz looking to move the label off of Interscope, a joint venture deal would be virtually impossible. Despite making amends with Diddy, Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch would rather work with Ruff Ryders as oppsed to Bad Boy Records. With everything that is going on, Jadakiss said that a reunion with Bad Boy is looking more and more unlikely by the day.
