For the past two years, it has come as no surprise to hear about rapper DMX going to prison. However, it is rare to hear about DMX being released from prison. After years of promoting the thug image, the thug life finally caught up to him. The Yonkers rapper quickly realized he was not above the law.
Ever since 2008, the most news from DMX is his latest drug charge. The rapper has been in and out of prison in Arizona, the place he went to in order to excape. Before 2008, it was rare to hear about DMX actually paying for the crimes he has committed. But, as time has gone on, it has become regular news.
DMX's most-recent jail stint came from his 2002 reckless driving charge in Los Angeles. The rapper was supposed to spend 90 days in the custody of Los Angeles County. But, after only 18 days behind bars, the rapper has been released. DMX had surrendured in Los Angeles after serving four months of prison in Arizona.
