With Lil Wayne behind bars, Rick Ross has taken over radio waves. Right now, the South has the hip hop game on lock and the main catalyst is Rick Ross. Fresh off a feud with 50 Cent, which boosted his profile, Ross feels invincible.
On his latest music, Rick Ross flows with a confidence he has never had before. Due to this confidence, more people are into his music. Before, he had only a cult following, but after declaring his victory over 50 Cent, Ross is on top.
Teflon Don is seemingly the celebration of this victory as he has worked with the finest in the game. Landing Stacey Dash for the video of his first single and Ne-Yo for the hook was a major coup. However, the true celebration came in the video for the following single, "B.M.F. (Blowin' Money Fast)." The song has the streets hot and the video is even hotter.
Young Jeezy, Rick Ross' label-mate, recently remixed the song, calling it "Death Before Dishonor" and takes shots at Rick Ross. Ross has yet to respond to the diss, but Maybach Music artist, Torch, has and he was very upset. Not simply because Jeezy dissed Ross, but because he did it in a sneaky manner. Before anything major comes from the disagreement, Young Jeezy has decided to set the record straight. He said he has always been friends with Rick Ross and would never diss him.
During the feud with 50 Cent, Young Jeezy openly sided with Rick Ross and he said the alliance is still there because the song had nothing to do with Rick Ross.
