After months of prison rumors and notes, Lil Wayne is finally free from prison. His release comes a little over a month after the rapper released his ninth studio album, I Am Not a Human Being. Even though he has been behind bars for most of the year, 2010 has been a very good year for the rapper.
But, now that he is free, Lil Wayne plans to dominate the game one more time for his crew. When he first went to prison, he asked Drake to hold things down for him. After watching Drake go platinum on his debut album and Nicki Minaj dominate, it is safe to say Drizzy did his job. Now, it is time for the leader to reconnect.
Finally free, Lil Wayne hopes to begin working on his long-anticipated album, Tha Carter IV. The album was supposed to be released earlier this year, but Wayne decided to do I Am Not a Human Being instead. Wayne felt Tha Carter IV had to be one of those classic, straight out of prison albums. With his current album heating up airwaves, Lil Wayne hopes to have his next album out before the end of next year.
To celebrate his release from prison, Hip Hop Vibe will be posting Lil Wayne music videos from his 1997 debut with The Hot Boyz until the current day.
