This year, Wiz Khalifa and Drake have been two of the biggest names to break into the game. Both rappers were acclaimed mixtape rappers who now have a place in the game. But, Drake eventually signed with a major label and uses their muscle. Wiz Khalifa, on the other hand, remained an independent artist.

Over the summer, Drake offered to make Wiz Khalifa a part of his recent Light Dreams & Nightmares tour. While he knew it would be a great opportunity for him, Wiz turned it down. He said he was willing to take the chance, but doing the tour went against his gut feeling. He is taking over rap from the outside.

Wiz Khalifa is currently focused on building his personal brand, which means if he does a tour, he will be the headliner. Wiz appreciated the offer, but he does not like things being handed to him. Currently, he is taking the independent route, while Drake has gone mainstream. Khalifa said he read that Drake made $10 million this year he said they could possibly tour when he makes $10 million in one year.

Currently, Wiz Khalifa is on his Waken Baken tour.
